Houdini Workshop Tokyo 2026

Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM

Venue: HAL Tokyo

Meta Meow is excited to announce an upcoming workshop, “Machine Learning for Smoke and Fire Simulation in Houdini 21” , taking place at the Houdini Ignite Workshops in Tokyo on May 16th.

As high-resolution smoke and fire simulation continues to be one of the most demanding aspects of VFX for film and games, the updated Machine Learning tools in Houdini 21 are opening up powerful new possibilities. This hands-on session will showcase how artists can dramatically accelerate their workflows while achieving stunning, detail-rich results.

Participants will learn how to build efficient low-resolution base simulations designed specifically for ML-driven enhancement, unlocking high-quality volumetric effects without the heavy computational cost. The workshop will also explore practical applications across game engines.

By the end of the session, attendees will walk away with a production-ready, repeatable workflow that integrates seamlessly into existing Houdini pipelines.
